The range of societies on offer at the College is very wide and caters to a variety of interests. Students are encouraged to join these societies in order to develop new skills and to make friends. Some activities stretch the mind. The Bridge and Chess Clubs encourage logical thinking, while the Debating Club allows students to express their ideas and to engage in reasoned discussion. Others are very active and stretch the body as well at the mind. The ramblers, cyclists and canoeists make use of beautiful local countryside, while students can also pursue the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme while at the College. We also have a College magazine and literary group, as well as a group producing a video diary of the year. The Cookery Club is popular, making use of the College 'Student Kitchen/Diner' as well as our students' passion for food, as is the Art Club which benefits from the richness of the many cultures represented by our students. |
